Before finding this site I used to daydream a lot but not always in a good way. I would see myself getting in a confrontation at work, imagining what I would say etc. And would manifest bad situations there. I realized what I was doing and stopped and so far things are much better with some slight residual issues occasionally. However, I have also always used daydreaming as a form of entertainment, imagining situations that could never occur, going back in time or to the future or dating the hottest celebrity ;) my question is, how would these "fake" daydreams possibly mess up the real ones that I actually want to occur. I would really miss the pretend ones, but I get the same kinds of emotions going in them so I think I could be confusing my flow. Any ideas?
Fake flow dreams?

Hi Jen, I've always wondered the same thing, as I'm accustomed to daydreaming for entertainment. And they may very well mess up your intended flowdreams. For example, if I fantasize about dating the hottest celebrity, there's very little likelihood of that actually happening because that celebrity isn't fantasizing about dating me. But it may block me from dating a wonderful non-celebrity because my mind is always distracted with the hot celebrity. In this case, it might really confuse my flow if I'm also trying to attract a real relationship. My suggestion would be to use "fake" daydreams sparingly--if only because they're a waste of energy that you could be spending on FD instead. As for fantasy entertainment...that's what TV is for, right?

Lol yeah good tips, but I really don't like tv. Honestly I think the negative ones were doing the most damage but now that I am aware of them I am able to stop them and I immediately replace them with a positive one.

Not every daydream is a flowdream. It depends on how you're directing the energy.

Directing as in what I'm asking it to do?

Yes, not every daydream is a Flowdream. Many daydreams are just a subconscious "letting off steam" kind of activity. But, you should be aware that if you're investing a lot of emotion into them, you're dipping into Flow territory--in other words, energy territory. If you aren't actively FEELING your Flow, and actively aware that you are intentionally purposely creating in it, however, then you're diminishing the manifestation aspect a LOT.
Many daydreams are also just ways that our subconscious is trying to figure out a situation, like when we replay a scenario in our head over and over with different endings. And some daydreams are true fantasies--pleasant escapes without any sense of purposeful emotional impact within them. When you think about that person at work that you're confronting, you're letting out frustration ENERGETICALLY instead of in person. You're also probably trying on different methods for how to actually confront the person effectively. But if you were truly Flowdreaming, you'd feel that person in your Flow with you, and you'd sense how both your needs were getting met in the best possible way. The emotions would be strong and positive. You'd get a sense that the Universe has heard you, an is going to help you. You'd also feel how you no longer even NEED to confront the person, since the situation has changed so much for the better, that whatever was driving the conflict has completely vanished. It's a very different sensation!!
